Located in northern New England, NEW HAMPSHIRE is bordered to the south by Massachusetts, to the west by Vermont, to the north by Canada, and to the east by Maine and the Atlantic Ocean.  The state has 18 miles of Atlantic coastline, 40,000 miles of rivers and streams, 1,300 lakes and ponds, and almost 800,000 acres of National Forest.  Major regions include the Great North Woods, the White Mountains, the Lakes Region, the Seacoast, the Merrimack Valley, the Monadnock Region, and the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee area. 

INTERSTATE ACCESS is provided via Routes 93, 95 and 89. There is a major commercial AIRPORT in Manchester, and regional airports are located in Laconia, Concord, Lebanon and Portsmouth.
